We have heard that there is an effort to re-establish the Cruise Night which is typically held on the 3rd Saturday of the month as the premier cruise night in the Baton Rouge area. We figured we would support this effort by attending the August Cruise Night as a club event. Many members are gathering at the Shell station on Highland across from the State Police Troop A office at 4:30PM on Saturday. Those members will leave from there around 4:45PM for the short cruise down I-10 to Cabela’s. Some of us who live in the Gonzales/Prairieville area with drive directly to Cabela’s. Everyone should plan to arrive at Cabela’s around 5PM. Those going should know that there is a small fee ($1-$2) to park within the designated area. Bring chairs and maybe an umbrella for shade.

There are a few places to eat nearby. Don’s Seafood is right next to the cruise night area and Mooyah’s is a longer but doable walk away. Other restaurants or fast food options are around Tanger Outlet Mall or at the entrance to Cabela’s near Highway 30. Hope to see you there!
